Animism Series 

No.1 the God of the Light

I named he as Call Light.

He has an old man face because the light has a very long history in my mind. In this picture, he has the power to call the light up from the lake. He looks wisdom with the super long beard.

No.2  the Goddess of the mountain

In Chinese，I call her shanmuniang (山姆孃). This is the way how the local people call an elderly women in Dali, China. I have got the inspiration from Dali where I lived for the past two years.

I used the Mount Cang as the original reference to draw the body of the mountain.

But same as the light god, I did't draw a specific body of the goddess. What I try to illustrate is the feeling of the god. She is there, firm and holding a strength encouraging the people who lived under her place.

In this picture, the mountain goddess has a very warm and peaceful face. She looks like a fire but she isn't a fire. The trees around her has the fancy shapes and colors. There is a mount chain at the bottom of the picture. That's the Mount Cang belongs to. The Hengduan Mountain chain.

No.3 the Elf of the Cereal

This is the elf of the cereal named Dudu. He is a naughty and cute guy. In this moment, he may experiencing some not very happy which made him showing a funny face.

I am planning to create a series characters of the theme. All the characters have the very different personalities. So there are interesting stories going to happen in it.

No.4 the Water Monster

This is a monster of the water. Its face is right at the left side of the picture which is showing a hurry or surprised face. He is tracing the fish that I named Ling Fish. 

The boat beside them is in the high speed. 

I got the inspiration of designing the shapes and the colours of the fish. Including the body of the boat and the graphics, I got the ideas from the minority nationality’s  clothes I met in my daily life.
